Commissioned by the official tourism board, this assignment took me to the heart of New Orleans to experience, photograph, and document the city’s layered identity, from its world-renowned cuisine and cultural celebrations to its complex historical roots.

Over the course of the trip, I explored and captured a range of subjects: bustling street parades, iconic Creole and Cajun dishes, vibrant neighborhoods, and the somber beauty of plantation sites that reflect the region’s difficult past. The assignment required a balance of storytelling and sensitivity, celebrating New Orleans’ charm while acknowledging the deep histories that shaped it.

Original photography and written guides were produced to promote tourism through a lens of authenticity, inviting visitors to experience the city beyond clichés and into its rhythm, resilience, and richness.
